I’d like to think that I have somewhat outgrown a VW Golf. But when I saw this today, I tip my hat to Ogilvy Cape Town for creating something, which makes me want to go to a VW dealer and buy one!

The best part is when the eskimo says: “Audi. Quattro”. Goosebumps…

…from me to myself :) It hasn’t arrived yet. But I’m very, very excited. At 299,-, this will likely replace my IBM T42 on all my travels throughout the country. When it arrives, I’ll immediately kill the Linux installation and install Windows XP. Also, I’ll put in 2GB RAM and a 16GB SD Card. That should be plenty of space / power for all those office tasks, I have to get through on a daily basis.
I mean, really, $299,-?? Impossible to resist!

I’m one of the biggest fanboys out there. I have a Mac Pro, an iBook, a Mac Mini, an Apple TV, 2 iPods and an iPhone. But what the hell is this bloody, stupid MacBook Air? Is Steve Jobs smoking something? What advantage does it have by being “thin”. It’s not about being thin, it’s about having a small footprint. Even though it’s thin, I still won’t be able to open it in an airplane, because 13 inch is to friggin’ big. On top of that you pay a 700 dollar premium for the thin-ness. A normal MacBook is faster and has more features for that amount less. Steve didn’t listen and I hope Apple pays the price for that. Maybe then, they finally listen to us and make a smaller MacBook Pro, damn it.

It doesn’t look that bad but those rounded edges are strange. Again, “thin” isn’t the point…

Otherwise, you might miss your flight - as it happened to me on Tuesday night. Stupid. I was booked on a 7.30 pm flight from D.C. to O’Hare. After arriving in D.C. I changed the timezone on the Blackberry to Eastern Time. It was only after I had missed my flight when I realized that the timezone change changed my whole calendar around. So, the other lesson: Never trust your calendar. :-)
I got home eventually!
Cheers
